Historic probation era Cajun dinner in the middle of no where Louisiana. Giant place with great food but very little energy or conversation
I split the combination plate with someone. While it wasn't the best shrimp I've ever had it was still pretty good. I think I enjoyed the ettouffe most. The shrimp cocktail was disappointing. The cocktail sauce tasted like it had pickles in it, not sure if that was the case tho. Prices are a bit steep and table services is kind of slow.
We ate the crab and shrimp platter both were delicious but that au gratin is worth the drive.
I use to go to the Yellow Bowl when I was a young girl. I moved from La. many years ago but last week I got to go back with my husband, daughter and son-in-law. Food was excellent and so was our waitress, which unfortunately, I can't remember her name. I plan on going back to La. again really soon and I will be stopping by again. Many happy memories here.
Worst shrimp po boy ever, but at least this one was cooked. Last time the shrimp were under cooked. There won't be a next time. Evidently they didn't get the recipes from the previous owners when the restaurant changed hands. Don't waste your money.
